How to Use Glo BIS on Android Phones

The rate at which internet surfers in the country are porting to Android OS is getting high as everyone wants to enjoy the loads of features which Android has got for its users.

But despite the interesting features which android offers, Our network providers keeps hindering us from enjoying all these to the fullest as they only release expensive and insufficient data plan for android unlike blackberry plans.

MTN be like; get 250MB for #1000, Airtel be like; get 1GB for #1000, Etisalat be like blah blah blah..! Imagine how low the MBs are when there is a way of tweaking Glo BIS (3GB for #1,000) to work perfectly on android phones.

To make Glo BIS work on android phones, we will need to change the Android IMEI Number to that of Blackberry so as to deceive Glo Robot that we are making use of a blackberry phone to browse.

==> Rooted Device. (Read how to Root your phone here)

==> Generated blackberry IMEI Number. (Download BB IMEI Generator here)

==> MobileUncle Tools. (Download at PlayStore)

==> An Activated Glo SIM.

We will need to first backup our current/default IMEI Number, to do this:
==> Open MobileUncle Tools
==> Select “IMEI Backup Restore (MTK)
==> Click “Backup IMEI to SDCard (or SDCard2)
==> You should see a pop-up message “IMEI.BAK

After successfully backing-up the Original/Default IMEI Number, we will now replace it with the Generated Blackberry IMEI Number. Read how to replace android IMEI with BB IMEI Here


When you’ve successfully changed your android IMEI number to BB IMEI number, get your SIM inserted into your phone and follow the below steps:

==> If you’ve have an active glo BIS, Skip this step.. If not, ensure you have up to #1,000 on the glo SIM.. Then send comonth to 777 and wait for some minutes to receive activation message (3072mb).

==> Create a new access point on your phone with and activate it. (Settings >> Mobile Network >> Access Point)

==> Switch on your data connection and start browsing.
